Through in-depth user testing and market research, we learned that there was a gap in the marketplace when it came to platforms for non-traditional adult learners. Navigating a new career or educational path can be overwhelming, and students often don't know where to start.

So we created an all-in-one platform guides students through the complex process of starting, continuing, or advancing in their career.

Lantern is a tool that allows students to discover, research and plan their educational journey all in one place. Our goal was to provide valuable tools to aid them in their journey, including a career quiz, personalized career and education browser, an affordability calculator, and a scholarship database.

Account setup is easy with a simple question flow, allowing users to select goals and intent of app usage to create a dashboard tailored to them.

Acting as the main landing page when a student accesses their account, the dashboard shows their account overview, career quiz results, career goal, and resources.

A thorough career quiz allows students to narrow down their next step and receive personalized career matches based on their personality and goals.

Education

Explore education programs by degree level, program type, or subject.

Financing

An affordability calculator allows the student to calculate how much they can afford to spend on college based on their income, scholarships and life goals. View and save scholarships and download financial resources.
